Hi there!
I’m Tricia, owner of Moment Ceremonies and an independent civil celebrant based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It’s lovely to meet you!
If you’ve found my site, there’s a good chance that you’re interested in having a unique, personal ceremony, one that’s entirely tailored to you (unlike traditional, often religious-based versions that don’t always exactly represent your values).

That’s because traditional ceremonies are bound by strict procedures and rules which everyon has to follow.
But if you use a celebrant for your ceremony, you don’t have to abide by rules, restrictions and limitations imposed by the traditional way of doing things.
Instead you can have your ceremony exactly how you want it, a ceremony that 100% reflects what is important to you.

How do we personalise our ceremony?
Personalisation is one of the main reasons for choosing a celebrant. From your vows to ceremony rituals, we collaborate closely with you to incorporate elements that truly represent you, whether it’s through music, readings, participants, humour or symbolic gestures.
Are celebrant-led ceremonies legally recognised?
Celebrant ceremonies often focus on the ceremonial aspect rather than legal formalities. To make your marriage legally binding, a separate civil registration may be necessary. I can provide guidance on integrating both seamlessly, and I’m on hand to help with any other paperwork issues you might run into!
Can we choose any location for our ceremony?
Yes, the beauty of a celebrant-led ceremony is its flexibility. Whether it’s a beach, forest, your backyard, or anywhere meaningful to you, I’m here to make it happen!
What's the best timeline for booking a celebrant?
Booking 6-12 months in advance is ideal, especially for dates in peak season. This ensures ample time for planning and personalisation of your ceremony.
How can family/friends be involved in the ceremony?
Involving family members is a wonderful way to add personal touches to your ceremony. From readings to participating in symbolic rituals, there are many ways to include loved ones!
Do you travel for ceremonies?
I’m a celebrant based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but my bag is always half packed! I’m delighted to travel for ceremonies right across the island of Ireland and indeed further afield!
What support do you offer on the day?
Beyond conducting the ceremony, I’m there to support you, ensuring every detail is attended to, so you can focus on enjoying the day itself, and making sure that the occasion is one that you’ll remember forever!
How much are your ceremonies?
Because my ceremonies are so unique and bespoke, it’s not really possible to give a price in advance. Every single ceremony, whether it be a wedding, a vow renewal, a naming ceremony or a family ceremony, is different. I treat every single ceremony as a totally new and distinct from the previous one. So the best thing to do, if you’d like to know how much a ceremony costs, is to drop me a quick line, let me know what you have in mind, and I’ll be able to give you a much better idea of pricing!
